Prince Pippin Parkinson

Prince Pippin graduated from the streets of Algester in early 2024.

In his spare time, he’s often found assisting in quality control management of food products.

Patient care is of utmost importance to our Prince, which is why you’ll see him providing emotion support to patients, family members and staff.

Provided you pay your chicken taxes timely, Prince Pippin is also known for his skills in directing puppy preschool classes.

It is no wonder the Prince has conquered Parkinson Vet.

Dr. Reza Kamgarpour

Dr. Reza Kamgarpour
BVSc, DVM, PgDipVetSci, PhD
Veterinarian

Dr. Reza graduated from Queensland University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, postgraduate diploma and PhD in Veterinary Medicine and Reproduction. After working in a variety of practices throughout southeast Queensland, Dr. Reza opened his own practice, Parkinson Veterinary Surgery on July 25th, 2007.

Dr. Reza’s main interests are orthopaedic surgery, dermatology, and feline medicine.

Dr. Jenny Ji
BVSc (Hons)
Veterinarian

Dr. Jenny is Korean-born but grew up in Brisbane with her family and has always had a great affection towards animals. After graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons), she has worked in small animal practices in Brisbane where she loves to work in all aspects of veterinary care and services.

Dr. Jenny has special interests in dentistry and internal medicine but also loves to do small animal surgery. Outside of veterinary work, Dr. Jenny loves playing the piano, does church bands on Sundays and also loves going out for hiking and travelling.

Dr. Emily Boshammer
BVSc (Hons)
Veterinarian

Dr. Emily graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons). She has always had a love for animals (especially cats) and has wanted to be a vet since 4 years of age having grown up with a diabetic cat.

Dr. Emily has a strong interest for small animal surgery and medicine especially opthalmology and feline medicine. Outside of work, Emily loves to binge-read books, explore new places and spend time with her family and friends.

Tyler
Cert IV Veterinary Nursing
Practice Manager & Veterinary Nurse & Puppy Preschool Teacher

Tyler started at Parkinson Vet as a trainee nurse before graduating with her qualification in 2019. She is determined to provide the best care to her patients by showering them with love and reassurance. Tyler particularly enjoys surgical and supportive care nursing, especially seeing patient’s return to good health after treatment. Not only is she a nurse by day, but our puppy preschool teacher by night!

When not at work, Tyler is spending time with her three naughty Devon Rex’s, Kora, Meekah and Ollie or working on her cars.

Veterinary Nurse

Katie graduated with a Cert IV in veterinary nursing in 2020. Katie has finds joy in caring for those who cannot help themselves.

In her spare time, you’ll find her curled up on the couch with her labrador, Boston.

Ben graduated with a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2023. He is committed to providing the upmost care for patients and clients and their extended furry family members. Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time entertaining his kelpie and watching the latest movies at the cinemas.

Caitlin

Veterinary Nurse 

Caitlin graduated in 2023 with a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She has always had a passion for animals and has a key interest in wildlife and exotics. In her spare time, Caitlin spends time with her tribe of animals; two dogs, two cats, two snakes and a turtle. In addition to her animal interests, she also enjoys working on her two cars.

Cherie
Receptionist 

Cherie joined the team in 2024 as our receptionist here at Parkinson Veterinary Surgery. Combining her passion and love for animals after volunteering at the RSPCA and her customer service history, she is embracing her new role in front of clinic. While not at work she is busy looking after her family and spending time with her pet Chickens, Barry (Blue Cattle Dog), Hank (Red Cattle Dog) and Minty (Maltese).

Lisa
Groomer

If you need to have your pet groomed, you’ll be happy to know that Lisa is an exceptional groomer who loves her job! Lisa drops in to groom pets here in our clinic, on Wednesdays, as she grooms full time in an elite Paddington puppy parlour. Lisa has the capacity to perform many grooms, from poodles to schnauzers and many more. When you book in with the friendly team to see Lisa, you can trust her to pamper your pet from head to toe, provide plenty of hugs and kisses for your precious pooches, and provide service with a smile.

Vivian 
Veterinary Nurse Assistant

Vivian has been volunteering for Parkinson since the very beginning. Her passion and dedication to the health and wellbeing of animals has given her the drive to come and help us every second Saturday.

Vivian has a full-time government job where she has developed excellent social skills which she uses in liaison with our pet’s parents especially in difficult or sad situations. With these skills and the experience and confidence Vivian has gained from volunteering she intends to one day change to a career in the animal industry.

Sandy 
Practice Manager

Sandy has a degree in Information Technology and as Reza’s wife, helped Reza build this practice. Sandy is great with computer technicalities, customer relations, advertising, general office procedures and her expertise in these areas facilitates to the overall smooth running of the clinic.

Sandy also has a creative flair which she uses to create beautiful flower arrangements which are often on display in the clinic.
